Justin Rose to miss a month

Rose to miss beginning of season due to carry

U.S. Open champion Justin Rose has light tendinitis in his best shoulder and will certainly put off the beginning of his season.

Rose will not play the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship following week or the Farmers Insurance coverage Open at Torrey Pines the following week. His broker at Excel Sports, Mark Steinberg, claims Rose is likely to begin his year in February.

Rose gained his first major at Merion last summer. He played deep in to 2013 by completing the European Tour season in China, Turkey and Dubai. He also played in South Africa.

Steinberg says records from the physicians are encouraging. But with rest and rehabilitation as the only means of treatment, Rose believes it is most effectively to not compete for a minimum of a few weeks.
