Royals update: They lost twice on Sunday to the White Sox after winning six of their previous 10 games. The Royals lost a suspended game from Friday and the regularly scheduled game that followed. On Saturday, four Royals were suspended for a fight with Chicago -- outfielder Lorenzo Cain and pitchers Edinson Volquez, Ventura and Kelvin Herrera. They appealed and will be available against the Tribe, although Volquez started Sunday.
Indians update: They're coming off a nine-game AL Central trip which saw them go 3-6 against the Twins, White Sox and Tigers. The are entering the final leg of a 17-game stretch against divisional foes in which they've gone 4-10.
Injuries: Royals -- RHP Greg Holland (right pectoral strain), LHP Tim Collins (left elbow), RHP Luke Hockevar (right elbow), OF Alex Rioles (left hand) and Kris Medlin (right elbow) are on the disabled list. Indians -- OF Nick Swisher (knees), catcher Yan Gomes (right knee), RHP Josh Tomlin (right shoulder) and RHP Gavin Floyd (right elbow) are on the DL. Bauer is recovering from food poisoning.
