Besides Lopez, the Nets really struggle on the offensive end and have been flat out brutal outside of Brooklyn this season. The Pacers continue to be an offensive powerhouse and have done a good job of beating up lousy teams.

Injury Report:

Shane Larkin (concussion) and Sergey Karasev (sore left ankle) will each miss their second straight game. Wayne Ellington (strained left shoulder) and Thomas Robinson (illness) did not practice Thursday and are both questionable for Friday’s game.

George Setting the Pace:

Paul George is healthy and tearing up the NBA. The Pacers’ forward is averaging 26 points, four assists and nearly eight rebounds this season, a feat made more impressive by the fact he missed 76 games last season after suffering an open tibia-fibula fracture. In laymen’s terms, that’s a severely broken leg. George is showing no ill-effects, as his 26.2 points-per-game is the highest of his career and is fifth in the NBA.

George was red-hot in November (averaging 29 points and shooting .495 from three), but has hit a speedbump over the past week. George’s field goal percentage has been below .400 for the past three games, his longest stretch of the season.

The Nets have won two straight games vs. the Pacers, winning the seasons series 2-1 last year. Paul George’s absence changes the dynamic of this matchup, as the Pacers are now the NBA’s sixth-highest scoring team, averaging 103.8 points-per-game, after being 19th last season (97.3 ppg). The Pacers have been streaky this season, winning six straight before dropping four-of-five. Currently, they are on a two-game winning streak, while the Nets look to halt a three-game slide.
