Previous UNLV teacher Jerry Tarkanian is up and moving at a Las Vegas healthcare facility and could possibly go home this weekend break after experiencing a cardiac arrest and contracting pneumonia.

Tarkanian's son-in-law, Zafi Diamant, said Tuesday that the 83-year-old Tarkanian was feeling much better and has been walking around Valley Healthcare facility.

Medical professionals determined that Tarkanian did have a heart attack and Diamant mentioned he will likely undertake a catheterization to figure out if anything else should be performed in the following couple of days.

Tarkanian was hospitalized last Wednesday after attending the Final 4 in North Texas, suffering disadvantage, lethargy and labored breathing.

A participant of the Naismith Remembrance Venue of Fame, he led 3 colleges to the NCAA tournament, many famously the 1990 UNLV team that gained a national title.
