Tarkanian improving but remains in medical facility

A member of the family states former UNLV basketball trainer Jerry Tarkanian is being managed for pneumonia and a possible cardiac arrest at a Las Vegas healthcare facility.

Tarkanian's son-in-law, Zafi Diamant, said Friday that the 83-year-old Tarkanian's health condition was "absolutely stable," and that he was awake and talking at Valley Medical facility.

Tarkanian won 784 video games in his occupation, consisting of 509 at UNLV.

He's an inductee of the Naismith Remembrance Hall of Fame.
