Here’s five players to watch:

Carlos Carrasco: How do you follow up a 10-strikeout performance? Hopefully for the Indians, Carrasco can go seven innings and turn the bullpen over the ball with the lead. Although, after the Detroit series, Tribe Town has little confidence in its relievers.

Michael Brantley: The Indians have played five games this season. Brantley’s played in two. It’s time to hit DEFCON on his back. It is a MAJOR concern. Brantley missed just six games all of last season.

Jose Abreu: The reigning AL “Rookie of the Year” already has one moonshot this season, and Tribe fans are hopeful Indian pitching won’t let Abreu feast like Miguel Cabrera did last series. Miggy entered the Tribe series batting .182. He departed Cleveland batting .520.

Jose Quintana: Tuesday night’s starter owns a pretty nice career line against the Indians, going 3-0 with a 3.24 ERA in 11 career games over nine starts. Throw home field advantage out the window for the Tribe, too, because Quintana has been nasty in Progressive Field, with a 1.52 ERA over 23 2/3 innings.

Brandon Moss: Nobody thought Moss would be Babe Ruth from the get go, but the Tribe needs to see signs that he’s not the player who hit just four homers after the All-Star break last season. His .488 OPS tells a story of Moss getting on base, with four walks in 16 at-bats, but he’s also struck out five times. With Yan Gomes out, the Indians need to start getting better production from the middle of their order.
