Los Angeles Angels at Toronto Blue Jays

Pay per Head(SportsNetwork.com) -Toronto finished off a miserable road trip in Houston on Sunday with a 4-2 loss to the upstart Astros. The Blue Jays finished the trek with just one win in seven games, but now returns to Rogers Centre where it has won seven of nine.

The Blue Jays recalled right-hander Todd Redmond from Triple-A Buffalo to make a spot start this afternoon, giving the rest of their rotation an additional day of rest.

Redmond made a pair of relief appearances with Toronto in mid-April, giving up eight runs over just 4 1/3 innings. He does have a 2.19 ERA in four previous meetings with the Angels, including one start.

Heading to the hill for the Angels on Monday will be lefty C.J. Wilson, who has allowed two runs or less in six of his seven starts this season. Wilson beat the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday, limiting them to a pair of runs in eight innings, as he improved to 2-2, while lowering his ERA to 2.63.

Wilson has faced the Blue Jays 19 times (9 starts) and is 3-4 against them with a 4.19 ERA.

Los Angeles also enters Monday's opener on a bit of a sour note after having its five-game winning streak stopped with a 3-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.

Garrett Richards (3-2) was terrific in the loss for the Halos in finishing one out shy of an eight- inning complete game, but his wild pitch in the fourth allowed Adam Jones to score what turned out to be the deciding run.

Richards was charged with two runs on five hits and a walk while fanning seven.

The Angels are in the midst of a 10-game road trip that will also include a stop in Boston. They are 9-9 away from home this season.

The Angels have won 12 of their last 15 against the Jays.
