The matchup may be lacking in a bit of luster, as Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, who leads the league in passing yards and has thrown 18 touchdowns, will be without his best best target, and the Bears will be missing their top rusher.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen has been a bright spot for the Chargers, but he will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a lacerated kidney against the Baltimore Ravens last week. The 23-year-old entered Week 9 ranking No. 2 in receptions (67) and No. 3 in receiving yards (725).

The Chargers are looking to snap a four-game losing streak, and could use a strong effort from their defense, which is ranked No. 20 in yards allowed (362.9) and No. 27 in points against (28.4).

But San Diego's defense will battle a Chicago offense that has had struggles of their own. The Bears offense is No. 27 in total yards, and were dealt a serious blow to their running game. Running back Matt Forte, whose 767 all-purpose yards ranked No. 10 in the NFL heading into Week 9, will be sidelined with a knee injury.

The Chicago Bears need this game if they have any hope of climbing out of a 2-5 hole. Jay Cutler is completing 61.8 percent of his passes for 1,442 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. Cutler has four passing touchdowns in his last three games. Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett have combined for 665 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Marquess Wilson has 18 receptions. The Chicago Bears ground game is averaging 109.9 yards per contest, and Matt Forte leads the way with 548 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Chicago is allowing 28.9 points and 342.3 yards per game. Christian Jones leads the Bears with 42 tackles, Pernell McPhee has five sacks and Kyle Fuller has four pass deflections. Matt Forte, Hroniss Grasu and Eddie Royal are questionable.
The Bears are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in November and 5-2 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Chargers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Monday games and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games. The home team is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Both of these teams have trouble finding the win column and both tend to keep their games close. So, in a game that figures to be another close one for both sides, the 4.5 points that Chicago is getting as a road underdog look very valuable. San Diego is just 5-14 ATS over its last 19 games and 1-7 ATS in its last eight games as a favorite.
