Tom Brady will continue his career after this season

On Friday, Tom Brady talked to the press and explained that he won’t retire after this season. The quarterback is currently playing with the New England Patriots. He told the fans he has no doubt he will continue in the NFL after 2017’s season. The news were announced by him on an interview with Norah O’Donnell for a CBS TV program. O’Donnell asked the 40-year-old if there was any chance he was going to retired after this season. A question which Brady answered no.

In February, a reporter asked Brady the same question, and he answered he is expecting to play until he reached 45 or so. If that is true, he will play for another 5 more seasons. Brady reached the 40’s on August. Last season was one of his best ones. Statistically talking, he threw 3,554 yards with two interceptions. He also marked 28 touchdowns. Since 2001, the Patriots didn’t won any Super Bowl as they did last season. The won against the Atlanta Falcons in the 51 edition. The player was named the MVP of the match for fourth time in his career. He helped the team reached a 34-28 after they lose most of the time. They did a 25-point comeback who let them win the cup.

At the beginning of 2016, Brady was suspended and then replaced by the quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. After this season, Garoppolo will be available to become a free agent. He is currently Patriots backup quarterback, that’s why he took Brady’s space for a while. Brady’s performance on the coming season will be important as it will help the Patriots decide what to do with the quarterbacks situation. They will have to take a long-term decision that will put Garoppolo or Brady as the team’s quarterback.
